Each writing (text object or lexia, in archaic hypertext terminology) would appear as a single continuous page, with scrollbar if necessary — i.e., not broken up into “pages” as in WDvol1. The text window would be able to be split in order to compare separate passages within it. Links and anchors would be embedded as in a web page. Next/Prev buttons should be available to allow for following a pre-laid path. Annotation and linking apparatus should be available to allow the reader to interact with the piece.
