Here’s a text view of the writing space (lexia) at the Inventory level. To access the writings of any author, the reader would click on the underlined text, as in a web page (the actual link-following operation is more complicated in Storyspace). Notice that each author’s name is in a different font from the others; this distinction was carried out in the writings themselves, to provide a subtle reminder of who wrote the passage on the screen.
